About Us
At Tarriko, we proudly uphold a cherished family tradition of entrepreneurship passed down through generations. Our story is rooted in a rich legacy of hard work exemplified by our grandparents, who have run several businesses over the years, including a restaurant in their early years. They continue to inspire us with their values of perseverance and dedication.
Our mother, Susana, embodies this tradition, teaching us the importance of hard work. She believes that the greatest legacy she can leave us is not wealth, but rather the values and work ethic that will guide us in all our endeavors. Her passion for sharing our culture has paved the way for our own ventures, including our first business, Dolce Mini Cakes—a charming pink dessert truck that delighted our community with sweet treats.
The name “Tarriko” is a creative fusion of “taco” and “rico,” reflecting our commitment to serving delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine. In Spanish, we often say “ta rico” to express how delightful something is, and we can’t wait for you to experience that sensation with us!
The style and logo of Tarriko draw inspiration from Charro Days, a vibrant celebration in my mom’s hometown of Brownsville, Texas. We’ve had the honor of attending this annual fiesta several times, celebrating the rich Mexican heritage of the area. The colorful festivities, which include parades and traditional performances, highlight our cultural roots.
As siblings—Dasani, Dariel, and Aris—we have embraced this family business tradition and are excited to bring the vibrant flavors of authentic Mexican cuisine to our community through Tarriko. We want everyone to enjoy our beautiful Mexican culture, and at Tarriko, we’re not just serving food; we’re sharing our family’s story and inviting everyone to be a part of our legacy.
